Eric was born and raised in Aledo, IL. He went away to college and started practicing law in the Quad Cities. Several years and three kids later, he moved from Davenport back to Aledo. But he kept the commute to work. Over time Eric formed a vision of what owning his own business in his hometown could be like. His experience working in multi-attorney law firms and corporate legal departments shaped and added elements to the vision, weaving together concepts of building efficient systems, collaborating in teams, giving practical advice, and above all, putting the client at the center of everything. After all, it’s truly all about you and not the attorney’s ego. Fast forwarding to now, Eric ditched the commute and founded the Law Office of Eric J. Long with a mission to be approachable, on the ball, and unified with his community.
